Oil Separator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the LH front wheel and tire.







2. Remove the left side inner fender well splash shield.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the pushpins.
3 Remove the bolts.
4 Remove the splash shield.

CAUTION: Remove the electrical connector locators from the splash shield prior to removal.







3. Disconnect the coolant bypass hose from the routing clip.







4. Pry the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve cap off the two tabs and position the PCV valve aside.







5. Remove the bolts and remove the crankcase vent oil separator.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Clean the gasket mating surfaces.
