Normal Operation
The auto-lock feature is controlled by the rear electronic module (REM). This feature locks the doors whenever the vehicle is being driven. This feature needs the ignition switch status, the transmission PRNDL status, the brake pedal status, the driver and passenger door ajar switch status before this feature will function. This feature is configurable. When auto-lock is enabled the REM will read inputs over the communication network from:
- PRNDL switch
- ignition switch
- brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- door ajar switches
