Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) AND CATALYST MONITOR SENSOR

EGO Sensor Wrench:

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist.







3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.

Item 2: HO2S and Catalyst Monitor Sensors Removal Note







1. Using the special tool, remove the HO2S and the catalyst monitor sensors.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 2: HO2S and Catalyst Monitor Sensors Installation Note

1. NOTE: Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S and the catalyst monitor sensors.

Using the special tool, install the HO2S and the catalyst monitor sensors.
