Wiper and Washer Systems: Service Precautions

CAUTION:
- Do not handle the windshield wiper motor abusively when diagnosing the wiper operations. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to the motor magnets which results in an inoperative wiper motor. Rough handling of new windshield wiper motors can also damage the motor magnets.
- The windshield wiper system has an auto park feature. It is necessary to disconnect the battery.
