PINPOINT TEST R: THE WASH AND WIPE FUNCTION IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The wash/wipe function is activated when the wiper motor module (internal) receives a reference signal through circuit 31S-KA19 (BK/RD). When the multifunction switch wash button is pressed for longer than 0.25 seconds the windshield wiper motor cycles, sending battery voltage through circuit 30S-KA7 (RD/WH) to the washer pump motor. If the wash button on the multifunction switch is pressed for less than 0.25 seconds the windshield wiper motor will only cycle once, which is considered the mist position.

Possible Causes
- circuit 31S-KA19 (BK/RD) open
- multifunction switch.
