Heater Core Case: Service and Repair

HEATER CORE HOUSING

REMOVAL
1. Drain the engine coolant.







2. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.
3. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to: Body and Frame, Interior Trim, Dashboard/Instrument Panel, Service and Repair, Removal and Installation, Removal and Installation

4. If equipped with A/C, remove the A/C evaporator core housing.







5. Remove the heater core housing.
1 Remove the heater core housing retaining nuts.
2 Carefully remove the heater core housing to avoid spilling engine coolant in the passenger area.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
