Normal Operation
When autolock is enabled the vehicle security module will read inputs from:
- the digital transmission range (TR) sensor
- the brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- door ajar switches (all doors closed.)

The BPP switch and TR sensor inputs are received through the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) communications network. Once the vehicle security module receives all 3 inputs the doors will automatically lock.
