HESITATION ON ACCELERATION AND/OR ERRATIC
IDLE WHEN COMING TO A STOP

FORD:
2004 F-150

ISSUE
Some 2004 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3-valve engine may exhibit a hesitation on acceleration and/or erratic idle when coming to a stop.

ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release B33.9 or higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
