REAR SEAT BACKREST - THIRD ROW

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the third row seat.
2. Remove the third row backrest.












3. Disassemble the parts in the order listed in the illustration and table.

To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps.

Item 1: Head Restraint Disassembly Note







1. Slide the head restraint sleeve button and remove the head restraint.

Item 2: Head Restraint Sleeves Disassembly Note
1. Release the backrest J-clip.







2. NOTE: The inboard and outboard head restraint sleeves are not interchangeable.

Squeeze together the tip of the head restraint sleeves and pull the sleeves out of the frame tube.

Item 4: Backrest Pull-Strap Disassembly Note







1. Remove the two screws and remove the backrest pull-strap handle assembly.

Item 5: Seat Backrest Trim Cover Disassembly Note

1. Remove the hardboard panel from under the backrest trim cover.

2. CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam pad.

Separate the hook and loop fasteners.







3. Remove and discard all the hog rings (three shown) and remove the seat trim cover.

ASSEMBLY
1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
