Alternator: Service and Repair

GENERATOR

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the air intake scoop bracket.
3. Relieve the accessory drive belt tension and remove the belt from the generator pulley. Leave the belt in place for reinstallation.







4. Disconnect the generator.
1 Disconnect the generator.
2 Remove the battery positive nut and cable.







5. NOTE: Upon installation, the generator bracket needs to be placed underneath the coolant tube support bracket.

Remove the generator upper bracket bolts and bracket.







6. Loosen the lower generator bolts and remove the generator by lifting upwards.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
