HEATER CORE

Removal and Installation

NOTE: If a heater core leak is suspected, the heater core must be pressure leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.







1. Clamp off and disconnect the heater hoses at the heater core.







2. Remove the instrument panel finish panel.







3. Remove the bolts and the instrument panel reinforcement.







4. Remove the bolts and the instrument panel reinforcement bracket.







5. Remove the screws and position the wire harness aside.







6. Remove the screws and the heater core cover.







7. NOTE: Use care not to spill the coolant remaining in the heater core during removal.

Remove the heater core.

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Clean and lubricate the coolant hoses with plain water only, if needed.

9. Fill the engine cooling system.
