Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove throttle body snow shield.
- Remove the retaining screw.
- Detach the emission tube retainer from the snow shield.
- Remove the snow shield.







3. Remove the idle air control (IAC) valve.
1. Disconnect the IAC electrical connector.
2. Remove the two IAC retaining screws.
3. Remove the IAC valve.







4. NOTE: Install a new IAC valve gasket.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
