Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSORRemoval and Installation 1.
Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2.
Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.

Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
2.
Remove the bolt retaining the CMP sensor.
3.
Remove the CMP sensor.
3.
NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
