Throttle Body: Service and Repair

THROTTLE BODY

Removal and Installation







1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
- Remove the crankcase breather tube.
- Loosen the clamps.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.







2. Remove the accelerator control snow shield.
- Unclip emission tube.
- Remove the retainer screw.
- Release the alignment tab and remove the cover.







3. Disconnect the accelerator cable and the speed control cable (if equipped) at the throttle body.







4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.







5. Remove the bolts and the throttle body.







6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten the throttle body bolts in the sequence shown.
