FORD:
2005 Focus

ISSUE
Some 2005 Focus vehicles may exhibit the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2004 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open).

ACTION
If DTC P2004 is present WITHOUT any driveability concerns, reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release B33.9 or higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website. If DTC P2004 is present WITH driveability concerns, refer to the PC/ED Manual for normal diagnostics.
