Transaxle Draining and Filling

Material






1. NOTE: Drain the transmission while the transmission fluid is warm. Remove the drain plug.

^ Position a drain pan under the transmission.

2. Clean the drain plug. Apply threadlocker and sealer and install the drain plug.
^ Tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).






3. NOTE: Prior to removal, clean the area around the fill plug.

Remove the fill plug.






4. NOTE: Do not overfill the transmission. This will cause transmission fluid to be forced out of the case.

Using a suitable oil suction gun, fill the transmission with the recommended fluid.
^ Transmission capacity is 2.6 liters (2.8 quarts).

5. Clean the fill plug. Apply medium strength threadlocker and install the fill plug.
^ Tighten to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
