Normal Operation
The short drop window feature is enabled when the convertible top switch is activated (hardtop removed). The front electronic module (FEM) enables the short drop window feature and sends an standard corporate protocol (SCP) message over the communication link to the rear electronic module (REM) so it enables the short drop window feature.Whenever a door is opened, the door ajar switch position is sensed by the FEM (driver door) or the REM (passenger door), and the appropriate module activates the short drop window feature by lowering the window approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch). When the door(s) is closed, the FEM/REM fully closes the window.
