Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor and Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor





Removal and Installation

1. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, depower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to Fire Suppression System.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) or turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor electrical connector.





3. Remove the OSS or TSS sensor bolt and the sensor.
1 Remove the bolt and the TSS sensor.
^ To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).

2 Remove the bolt and the OSS sensor.
^ To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).

4. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to Fire Suppression System.

To install, reverse the removal procedure. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
