OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Removal and Installation

1. CAUTION: Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls.

Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

2. Remove the engine cover.







3. NOTE:
- If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the charge air cooler tube to prevent the tube from blowing off.
- Charge air cooler (CAC) side shown, turbocharger side similar.

Loosen the CAC tube clamps.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).







4. Remove the bolt and position the ground wire aside. Disconnect the electrical connector push pin.







5. Remove the bolt and position the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) assembly aside.







6. Remove the bolts and position the wiring aside.







7. Remove the bolts for the charge air cooler tube and the oil fill tube.







8. Disconnect and remove the oil fill tube at the valve cover.







9. Remove the nuts, charge air cooler tube, oil fill tube and bracket.







10. Disconnect the engine oil temperature (EOT) sensor.







11. Remove the EOT sensor.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
