Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) tube from the AIR pump hose.
3. Remove the RH and LH splash shields.
4. Remove the 2 bolts and position the motor electronics coolant pump aside.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in

5. Disconnect the AIR pump electrical connector.
6. Remove the 2 bolts and the AIR pump.
- To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
