NOTE: When the fill plug is removed, up to one pint will drain from the filler opening.

1. Remove the fill plug.

Fluid Drain and Fill
1. Remove the drain plug.
2. Clean and install the drain plug.
^ Tighten to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).

3. NOTE: Before removing, clean the area around the filler plug. Fill the axle to the bottom of the fill plug hole.

4. Install the fill plug.
^ Tighten to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).

NOTE: For roll stability control (RSC) equipped vehicles, remove the rear wheel speed sensor plug.

For non-RSC vehicles, remove the rear wheel speed sensor.





5. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor.
1 Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
2 Remove the bolt.
3 Remove the rear wheel speed sensor.

6. Add one pint of fluid.





7. Install the anti-lock brake system (ABS) sensor and ABS sensor bolt.
^ Tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
