Normal Operation
The generic electronic module (GEM) energizes the lock or unlock relays based upon input from the ajar switches, the transmission range (TR) sensor, and the vehicle speed signal. The GEM locks the doors when it senses the doors are closed and the vehicle is in motion, and the door lock actuators lock the doors.
