Luggage Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder:

Removal and Installation

NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the current key code of the vehicle.

1. Remove the luggage compartment lid trim cover.
2. Disconnect the luggage compartment lid latch actuating cable from the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the rivet and the alignment clip.
4. Remove the retaining clip and the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder.

5. NOTE: The special tool must be used to install the new rivet.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
