Brake Disc Shield

Removal and Installation

Disc Brake System - Exploded View:






1. Remove the brake disc.

2. CAUTION: Use extreme care not to damage the wheel knuckle when drilling out the brake disc shield rivets.

Using a center punch, knock the mandrels out of the rivets. Using a 5.5 mm (0.22 inch) drill bit, drill out the rivets. If a larger drill bit is needed, it must not be larger than 6 mm (0.24 inch).
3. Remove the brake disc shield.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
