Multifunction Switch:

Removal and Installation
1. Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
^ Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch lock cylinder and turn to the RUN position.
^ Push the ignition switch lock cylinder release tab with a punch while pulling out the ignition switch lock cylinder.
3. Remove the steering column tilt lever.
4. Remove the 3 steering column cover screws.
5. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers.
6. Remove the 2 multifunction switch screws.
^ To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
7. Disconnect the multifunction switch electrical connectors.
8. Remove the multifunction switch.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Repower the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
