Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve vacuum tube connector.
2. Disconnect the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

3. Remove the 2 EGR valve bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

4. Remove the EGR valve.
- Remove and discard the EGR valve gasket.

5. NOTE: The sealing surfaces are soft metal.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Clean both sealing surfaces and install a new EGR valve gasket.
