Cylinder Head Assembly
Cylinder head boltsStage 1: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2: additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn)
Stage 3: Loosen a minimum of one full turn (360 degrees).
Stage 4: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
Stage 5: additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn)
Stage 6: additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn)
The cylinder head bolts must be discarded and new bolts installed. They are tighten-to-yield designed and cannot be reused.
Cylinder head flatness must be within 0.0254 mm (0.001 inch) across a 38.1 mm (1.5 inch) square area.
Intake manifold bolts 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
Camshaft bearing cap bolts 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
Camshaft sprocket bolt
Stage 1: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2: additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn)
Exhaust Manifold - RH
Exhaust manifold nut 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
