AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATER ASSEMBLY

Removal and Installation
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Drain the engine cooling system.
3. If equipped, remove the LH quarter trim panel.
4. Disconnect the heater hoses from the auxiliary heater core.







5. Disconnect the refrigerant line spring lock couplings.
- Discard the O-ring seals.







6. Remove the auxiliary plenum chamber.
1 Remove the screw.

7. NOTE: Use care not to spill any remaining coolant or refrigerant oil while removing the air conditioning and heater assembly.

2 Remove the air conditioning and heater assembly.

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the coolant hoses with plain water only, if needed.
- Install new O-ring seals.
- Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.

9. Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system.
10. Fill the engine cooling system.
