Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

3. NOTE: Clean off dirt and foreign material that may have collected around the rear wheel speed sensor before removal.

Remove the rear wheel speed sensor bolt and the sensor.
^ To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs).
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Inspect the wheel speed sensor O-ring for damage. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with rear axle lubricant.
^ Thoroughly clean the mounting surface.
