Attachment III - Technical Information

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Verify that IDS is updated to software version 49.6 patch 10.

2. Connect the Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) to the Data Link Connector (DLC) of the vehicle and the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).

3. From the Toolbox menu, highlight the Body menu and select TPMS Functions. This function will enable TPMS on the vehicle and display "Operation Successful" within a few seconds.

4. Perform "Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor Training" as described SECTION 204-04: Wheels and Tires in the 2007 Edge/MKX Workshop Manual.

5. Perform self test from the Toolbox menu. Select:

a. Self-Test

b. Chassis

c. Tire Pressure Monitor

6. Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's)
