Removal and Installation

WARNING: The traction battery and charging system contain high voltage components and wiring. High voltage insulated safety gloves and a face shield must be worn when carrying out any diagnostics on this vehicle. Failure to follow these instructions may result in severe personal injury or death.

1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Depower the high voltage battery. For additional information, refer to Hybrid Drive Systems.
3. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to Console.

4. NOTE: When installing the accelerometer the electrical connector must face the driver seat.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Remove the 2 accelerometer nuts.
^ To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.)
6. Remove the accelerometer.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
