Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the front door speaker.
2. Remove the side impact bolster.
3. Position the door latch release handle aside.

4. CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface, as re-bonding will be impaired.

Remove the watershield.

5. If manual window regulator, connect the window regulator handle; if power, connect the door glass operating switch electrical connector.
6. Remove the 2 door window glass clamp bolts.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

7. Hold the window glass at the top of the opening, lower the regulator and remove the window glass from the regulator.

8. CAUTION: Make sure the window glass is adequately supported at the top of the opening.

Using suitable hooks, raise and secure the window glass.

9. Remove the 7 bolts and the window regulator and motor.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
