Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the 2 parking brake rear cables from the equalizer.
3. Lift the parking brake control handle full up and remove the parking brake control trim cover.
4. Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
5. Position the cable guide through the floor pan and disconnect the cable assembly from the parking brake control.
6. Remove the 3 parking brake control bolts and the parking brake control.
^ To install, tighten to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs).
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
