Compass Zone Adjustment

COMPASS ZONE ADJUSTMENT







1. NOTE: The compass zone setting is preset from the factory to Zone 8.

Determine which magnetic zone you are in for your geographic location.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.







3. Press and hold the momentary push-button for approximately 4 seconds. Release the button when VAR is displayed.

4. NOTE: If there is no button activity for 5 seconds, the compass writes the VAR number of the displayed zone to memory and exits the Zone Variation Mode.

Press and hold the button to increment the VAR number to the desired VAR number. Wait 5 seconds without button activity and the compass returns to the heading mode.
