Steering Column Multifunction Switch

Removal and Installation





1. Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
^ Insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder and turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
^ Push the ignition switch lock cylinder release tab with a punch while pulling out the ignition switch lock cylinder.





3. If equipped, remove the tilt release lever/handle.
4. Remove the 3 screws and the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
5. Remove the 2 screws and the multi-function switch.
^ To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-inch).
6. Disconnect the multi-function switch electrical connectors.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
8. Repower the SRS.
