Transaxle Description:

This automatic transaxle is a 6-speed transaxle with electronic shift control. It is designed for operation in a transverse powertrain for front wheel drive (FWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) vehicles.

This transaxle has a 4 element torque converter design which includes a torque converter clutch (TCC) and a geartrain with 3 planetary gearsets.

The hydraulic control system of this transaxle uses a solenoid body with 7 electronically controlled solenoids for:
^ Shift feel (through line pressure control and shift pressure control)
^ Shift scheduling and timing
^ TCC operation
