Axle Assembly:

Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the front halfshafts.
3. Remove the front driveshaft.

4. NOTE: Securely strap the jack to the axle.

Position a suitable hydraulic jack under the front axle.





5. Remove and discard the 3 axle assembly insulator bolts.
^ Tighten the 3 new bolts to 100 Nm (74 lb-ft).





6. NOTE: Lower the axle to gain access to the axle vent hose.

Disconnect the axle vent hose.





7. Lower the axle assembly from the vehicle.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
