Liftgate Assembly:






Removal and Installation
1. Remove the D-pillar trim panels.
2. Position the headliner to access the rear washer hose and the liftgate electrical harness connectors.
3. Disconnect the liftgate electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the windshield washer hose nozzle.

5. NOTE: Support the liftgate before removing the liftgate struts.

Remove the liftgate struts.







6. NOTE: With a wax pencil, mark the position of each hinge to aid in the installation of the liftgate.

Remove the 4 liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

7. CAUTION: To avoid damaging the liftgate, this step requires an assistant.

Remove the liftgate.

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Transfer components as necessary.
