Flex Plate: Service and Repair
FlexplateFlexplate or Flywheel and Crankshaft Rear Seal - Exploded View:
Removal 1.
Remove the transmission.
2.
Remove the 6 flexplate bolts and the flexplate.
Installation 1.
Install the flexplate and the 6 bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.

Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
2.
Install the transmission.
