Test F: The Belt-Minder(R) Feature Does Not Operate Correctly
PINPOINT TEST F: THE BELT-MINDER(R) FEATURE DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLYNormal Operation
The instrument cluster (IC) sounds the Belt-Minder(R) warning chime every 30 seconds for a duration of 6 seconds. This feature continually reminds the driver that the driver and/or passenger safety belts are unbuckled by sounding a chime, and illuminating the safety belt warning lamp in the instrument cluster (IC) once the vehicle speed has exceeded 10 km/h (6 mph), and the safety belt remains unbuckled.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Belt-Minder(R) deactivated
- Safety belt warning indication concern
- Speedometer concern
- Instrument cluster (IC)
