Removal and Installation
NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the current key code of the vehicle.
1. Remove the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder cover.
2. Disconnect the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder electrical connector (if equipped).
3. Disconnect the luggage compartment lid latch actuating cable from the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder.
4. NOTE: Use the special tool to install the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder rivets.
Remove the 2 rivets and the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
