Pinpoint Tests

PINPOINT TEST W: THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) ARE INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
When the ignition switch is in the RUN position, the headlamps are not on, the transaxle is not in PARK (P) (automatic transaxle) or the parking brake is not applied (manual transaxle), the smart junction switch (SJB) provides a pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage to the low beam headlamps. This illuminates the headlamps at a reduced intensity.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Exterior lighting system input/output
- Ignition switch input
- Transaxle gear input (automatic transaxle)
- Parking brake switch input (manual transaxle)
- SJB
