Test E: The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Is Out Of Synchronization

PINPOINT TEST E: THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) TRANSMITTER IS OUT OF SYNCHRONIZATION

Normal Operation
The RKE transmitters and the smart junction box (SJB) use a rolling code to prevent the codes from being "captured" by a code grabber. The system advances the counter in the RKE transmitter and in the SJB every time an RKE transmitter button is pressed.

- DTC B2425 (Remote Keyless Entry Out of Synchronization) - is a continuous DTC that sets when the SJB senses that the key fobs are out of synchronization.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- RKE transmitter button pressed a substantial amount of times while outside the range of the vehicle
- RKE transmitter
- SJB
