Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor













Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

3. Remove the bolt and position the ground cable aside.
- To install, tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).





4. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

5. Remove the bolt, the CKP sensor and discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).

6. NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seal prior to installation.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install a new O-ring seal.
