Removal and Installation

1. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.

2. Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver (if equipped).

3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.

1. Insert the ignition key and turn to the RUN position.

2. Using a suitable tool, press the ignition lock cylinder release pin through the access hole while pulling out the ignition lock cylinder.





4. For vehicles equipped with PATS, if a new lock cylinder with keys is replaced, the new PATS keys must be programmed. For additional information, refer to Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment in Antitheft and Alarm Systems. Using Diagnostic Equipment

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
