Removal and Installation

1. NOTICE: Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls or the vehicle may be damaged.

Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.

3. Disconnect the Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor electrical connector.

4. Remove the EOT sensor. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

5. NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the new O-ring seal prior to installation.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install a new O-ring seal.
