Removal and Installation

1. NOTE: Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.

Release the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release Procedures.

2. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the parking brake intermediate cable at the cable union.

3. Compress the clip and separate the front parking brake cable from the frame bracket.

4. Remove the 2 parking brake release handle bolts.

5. Disconnect the parking brake signal switch electrical connector.

6. Remove the 3 parking brake control bolts.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

7. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the parking brake control.





8. Compress the clip and disconnect the front parking brake cable from the control bracket.
- Remove the parking brake control.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure that the front cable is routed through the loop on the spool.
