Removal

1. NOTE: Make sure the master cylinder reservoir cap is secure before carrying out this procedure.

Disconnect the cruise control deactivator switch electrical connector.





2. WARNING: Do not use any fluid other than clean brake fluid meeting manufacturer's specification. Additionally, do not use brake fluid that has been previously drained. Following these instructions will help prevent system contamination, brake component damage and the risk of serious personal injury.

NOTICE: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with water.

NOTICE: Do not allow any foreign matter to enter the master cylinder port once the deactivator switch is removed.

Remove the cruise control deactivator switch.

Installation

1. NOTICE: Do not allow brake fluid to contact the electrical connector. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the electrical connector or wiring.

Install the cruise control deactivator switch.

- Add a few drops of brake fluid to the fluid port on the threaded side of the switch before installing it.

- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).





2. Check the master cylinder fluid level and adjust as necessary.
