Parking Brake Control

Removal and Installation

1. NOTE: Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.

Release the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release Procedures.

2. Remove the 2 parking brake release handle bolts.

3. Disconnect the parking brake signal switch electrical connector.
- Detach the harness retainers from the parking brake control.

4. Remove the 3 parking brake control bolts.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

5. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the parking brake control.





6. Compress the clip and disconnect the front parking brake cable from the control bracket.
- Remove the parking brake control.

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure that the front cable is routed through the loop on the spool.
