Removal and Installation

1. Remove the 2 bolts and position the hood latch release handle aside.

2. Remove the 2 bolts and the steering column opening trim panel.

3. Remove the 5 steering column opening reinforcement bolts and the reinforcement.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

4. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.

5. NOTE: The ignition switch should be in the OFF position.

Remove the 2 ignition switch screws and the ignition switch.

- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
